Upper South Island Members! We Want You!

Upper South Island Members! We Want You!

Southland Regional Rep, Justin McLauchlan, has resigned as Libraries Manager, Timaru District Libraries, to take up the position of South Canterbury Manager of Environment Canterbury. Public Libraries of New Zealand (PLNZ) is now seeking a new Upper South Island Regional Rep to join the Executive Committee.

“I have loved my time with libraries and have valued the positive relationships and networks I have made,” Justin said. “Libraries play such a vital role in building stronger communities. PLNZ acts as a strong advocate for public library managers, team leaders, library experts, team players, colleagues and potential new library recruits.

“I have always loved how our members share information freely and answer all sorts of questions. It is just fantastic, and I know I have appreciated the feedback and support. Thanks to all those people who help to make a difference.”

“Please continue to support PLNZ and take the time to read the information, share it with your teams and connect with your executive. Next year you will all get the opportunity to embrace the future strategic vision and direction of PLNZ. What an exciting time and an opportunity for all people associated with Libraries to understand this vision and embrace it. I will miss being a part of this work in progress.”

PLNZ thanks Justin for his energy, commitment, and support during his term as Regional Rep.
